How do you guys feel about free money? I work a restaurant job that pays $14,000 per year. I'm denied any freebies because I go to work.

They are discussing the same thing here, that way people can take part time jobs that normally wouldn't be worth the effort.

Yeah they're actually going to try it out, maybe they already are testing it on a small group of people. I haven't heard any news on it lately.

So much gets taken in Ontario for taxes only to be stupidly squandered by corrupt officials... Not worth it to work in this province any longer.

Any business with any sense will be re-locating and anyone with some savings would be wise to do likewise.

It looks like gov't is trying to play catch up, to raise seniors out of poverty. They were doing it wrong, as usual.

My wife and I get $42,000 a year Social Security, combined.
We both worked our entire lives, (or at least longer than 95% of this forum has been alive), and it's earned, it's not an entitlement.

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.

They are still doing it wrong.
