http://consequenceofsound.net/2014/07/r-...ead-at-70/

There goes another little part of the roots I grew from.
Starting to feel more & more like a relic of a long gone
millennium here...but the music is timeless! yay.gif

Rest in peace, Johnny.
You did some damned good songs, man. cheers.gif

R.I.P., Johnny Winter

Last time I saw him was 1976, Him and Edgar were part of the Openers for Jethro Tull. "The Too Old to Rock and Roll" Tour

They came on stage and both were to Drunk to play. They apologized and left.

Robin Trower took the Stage and Played for Two hours.

Then Jethro Tull played until 2am

Epic Concert in Tampa Florida.

The Line up was:

Montrose
Johnny and Edgar Winter
Robin Trower
Jethro Tull

all this for $19. USD

His music brings back some memories for me, from those interesting days. The first time I was introduced to his music was when a guy friend (who was lost in drugs, deceased for some time now, RIP Rick) took me to a heroine party (I didn't partake), but they were all grooving to Johnny Winter. RIP.
