That's actually a smart idea. Go out berry, rosehip, or nut hunting, when in season or if available.

I read an article a while back where it was suggested that if a neighbour has a tree bearing fruit or nuts, just ask them if you can have some. I'm just not to sure if the food prices get out of hand that the neighbors with the fruit/nut trees may start canning it.

Never hurts to ask. I'm going to hunt me down some berries and put in the freezer.

I've not seen any blueberrys so far, they should start popping out any time. That's about as close to fruit as I can get on the anti-candida regiment.

My sil told me about a wonderful salad. Chopped watermelon, cucumber (peeled) and crumbled feta. dribble some olive oil on top and whatever spices you like, she raved about it. 13.gif

I think those ingredients would go nicely together. Feta and cucumber for sure, adding watermelon would not overpower any taste...it's all water! Which spices would you suggest. I would think a fresh herb, like cilantro maybe with a raspberry vinigrette homemade dressing. Yum.

She uses cracked black pepper but cilantro would be super. Dill? I have apricot vinigrette from Kelowna that's pretty good.

hug.gif Morning Shadow! I have developed a killer ranch like dressing with no mayo! It's only yogurt, lemon juice, a thimble of vinegar and spices.
I'll post it later after I've had more coffee. coffeetime.gif chuckle.gif
BTW, JJ was kind enough to upload some footage from their latest gig in Montreal, listening to it while I make some espresso, check it out if you get a chance! hi5.gif
