this isnt the first time something has gone over his head, humour wise..

im allowed to hate religion.. i grew up in the Catholic Church.. sorry you are offended.. that is if you are the AK who is a christian.. if you are going to be an AK, have the decency to at least write some sort of name in, so its easy to follow for normal posters, who you are.. have a great night..

oh ok well you're being a bit more open, more honest now, WR, so that makes it possible for me to respond. I'm not a catholic, nor have I ever been, I can understand the disenchantment and disappointment involved in being brought up in that faith, as I have known a great many of them and also have read a lot of catholic writings.

It's easier for AK's to put an identifying symbol in the text box than click on a separate window. If I'm confuising people I'm happy to type a non-verbal symbol into the text box to prefix my statements, even at GLP you have an identifying number. I turned 56 this year so I can prefix any post with that, if yous prefer.

im always open and honest.. im turning 40 this year.. yeah, leave a 56.. makes a big difference, cause i am quite vocal of my dislike for AK posters, purely because its impossible to follow.. and it seems some AKs here, assume that because they know what posts are theirs that everyone else does..

peace

56 yuh I don't regard myself as an evangelist or an apologist, I can do a bit of apologetics, but uh the vast fallling away and the corruption of the churches is prophesied in the bible.

Does that work for people? A non alphabetical symbol typed into the post as an identifier? Thought I'd try it.

It's only a small group, there isn't a lot of AK's here.

im deeply spiritual, for me it doesnt involve Jesus or God.. to me its the light, the force.. sooo each to their own

I deeply despise religion but spirituality is not religion. It's respect and appreciation of all life. Nothing sets humans above all other creatures, in fact I can't think of a single facet of human nature that makes us better except spirituality and the capacity for compassion.

Just as long as non-believing is not confused with "hating".

In my humble opinion, free thinking immediately leads to
the simple insight that every god ever worshipped by 1 or
more human beings, was/is precisely as real as any
other god.

On all conceivable levels.

I can't help the fact that preaching pisses me off, whatever
the religion.

So does references to scriptures of ancient faraway desert
shepherd people in factual/existential debate.
As soon as there was "priesthood", there was politics.

And I'm not going to pretend such things do not frustrate me.
But I just might be decent enough to stfu about it henceforth.

Look,
I know it's starting to sound like rigid maxim, but:

I still find daily evidence and hints, that existence is fractal
in nature, creation an always ongoing thing - and spiritual
teaching therefore an impossibility.
There is only learning.
(To be blocked and hampered by dogma and ego of "master"
and "teacher".)

Oops.
Now who is preaching?

Crap.

Just carry on, Kritters

56 ok well, I'll take that as a yes about the idenitifier symbol, obviously people can impersonate one, but I don't think we're at that stage yet.

No, god set us, his favourite creation, above the animals. Mankind (I'm a woman so that's gender inclusive) is above the animal world.

Your god set you above animals. I'm just pleased to be godless coffeetime.gif If you are his favorite creation, well it's fittung because religious humans are as heedless and selfish and egocentric as your god is.
