Remeber the BigDog Robot? Now Comes The Terminator!

This has quite an unsettling element to it. Reminds me of Battlestar Galactica when they began to build the "cylons" that became self aware and turned on them...have a look damned.gif

A biped robot that can walk like that is incredibly hard to do. That is why insect robots were so popular.

All they need is a humanoid upper body and good pattern recognition software and you have a terminator (identifying objects and walking are the two big robot problems).

Look up the SWORDS robots and why they were pulled.

Killing is easy, keeping them from killing you is hard. We have had nuclear power sources for robots (deep space probes) for 51 years, since Transit 4A.
