My mom is friends with a psychic guy (pretty well known in these parts) and she asked him about the ongoings in our apartment. He said it's a tall dark haired woman (after my sister and friend saw her), the wife of some exec at the time. She was standing in the window waiting for him he said. That's where I'd frequently see her. The psychic said she didn't have any kids and was feeling lonely.

That would also explain what my daughter experienced as a kid, although she doesn't remember any of it she talked about her "other mother". She also complained several times that she couldn't sleep because her bed was shaking and according to the psychic the woman wanted my daughter as her own and shook her bed to get her attention.

how old was your daughter?

Most intensely when she was between 2 and 5 as I recall. Her dad came come at 5 am one morning to find her in front of the TV screen watching the noise. Right out of Poltergeist.

Yeah it doesn't surprise me lonely ladies would make good ghosts sad2.gif

Things settled down during the years, but when JR came along things got worse. I hadn't even told him about the activity until he asked me about that person walking back and forth to the window... One day I heard a loud bang from the kitchen (where JR was) and the glass lid for my cast iron skillet had decided to explode in the cabinet. Then he was pinched in the hip and the psychic chuckled about that, asking if that's all she did. He said she REALLY liked JR.

They bought the house and pimped it out and sold the apartments. Or tried to. One of the apartments made from our old one was never sold as far as I know. That's kind of interesting.

And now someone who actually bought an apartment there (which I never would knowing the sad state of the building) wants to sell. It's a lovely house in a great location so they apparently really want to get the hell out of there.

Good morning poodles hug.gif

they love them cause they can see them at that age.. so they get validation.. where as the older we get the more closed off we get on those levels..

ok I am not preaching religion but this is true...when we lived on the island we had "something" that would mimic our voices..even the cats were afraid..i told my mom and she told me to tell the parish priest..I did and he came and blessed our home..and it was gone after that..i believe some of these so called spirits are evil we later found out the people who owned the home before us were into Ouija boards and séances damned.gif

I believe you JB. That sort of thing can open up doors to places you don't really want any connection with.

Honestly Octo, I can't imagine how you could co-habitate with non-family ghosts for that long of a time. I'm so glad the house we're in (23 years now) had none when we moved in. Although I believe my hubby's family members and mine visit us now and again, but they don't linger.

Oh it wasn't so bad once I made it clear who was in charge. There was however something else there too, something terrifying that lurked in our hallway at night. When you walked from the bathroom to the bedroom you could feel it behind you.

I understand you were in charge, but your other family members may not have been. damned.gif
