The "professional politicians" have plenty to spend on perpetual war but nothing to keep the roads in decent shape, let the gov't shutdown, nobody would even notice. At any rate, I'm not certain this back to the primitive is a bad thing.
Pavement is pretty high maintenance, it just makes sense to go back to gravel. The US is not Germany, in that every road needs paved.

Have to disagree, there are millions who depend and live off the system, and will fight keep it that way. Most will follow what their police state officials tell them to do. Birds of a feather flock together.

Also point out what happened in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, complete anarchy and chaos. Where families to this day, have not been allowed or cannot afford to return home. Families were torn apart and sent to different areas of the country.

As to the destruction of the roads, its not far off to say, that later the smalls towns between the roads will be shut (economically inviable - like the roads were) and people will be forced off the Land into bigger controlled urban areas, where they can be watched over and 'looked after'. As part of Agenda 21.
