Last week we reported that while the West was busy alienating Russia in every diplomatic way possible, without of course exposing its crushing overreliance on Russian energy exports to keep European industries alive, Russia was just as busy cementing its ties with China, in this case courtesy of Europe's most important company, Gazprom, which is preparing to announce the completion of a "holy grail" natural gas supply deal to Beijing. We also noted the following: "And as if pushing Russia into the warm embrace of the world's most populous nation was not enough, there is also the second most populated country in the world, India." Today we learn just how prescient this particular comment also was, when Reuters reported that Rosneft, the world's top listed oil producer by output, may join forces with Indian state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp to supply oil to India over the long term, the Russian state-controlled company said on Tuesday.

That's 1/3 of the Planet's customers. Putin is ... blink.gif well he doesn't have to play nice anymore. You can have all the LNG or sweet crude in the world, it ain't worth spit if you have nobody to sell it to.

Putin is so far ahead it's pathetic. All those M.East wars to secure the crude, they're worth nothing without someone to buy it. Trillions spent and millions of lives wasted grabbing resources that now have a very small market. Putin has yanked the rug from right under NATO's feet and without a single life spent. And they did it all to themselves. WOWfukingWOW.

Certainly they did it to themselves, intelligence isn't their forte, money is. They saw a chance to make a killing and went for it like a ravenous wolf at an all-you-can-eat sheep buffet.
Their eyes get all glazed over with all that potential. chuckle.gif

It has been their business strategy for years so it shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone. 13.gif

Quote:MOSCOW, June 28, 2013 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s state-owned energy giant Gazprom is planning to boost its exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to corner up to 15 percent of the world market for the fuel, CEO Alexei Miller said Friday.

The Russian gas giant is turning to lucrative Asian LNG contracts against a backdrop of growing domestic competition and falling demand among its mainstay European customers. It currently supplies just 5 percent of the world’s LNG.

Miller told the company’s annual shareholder meeting Friday that the company had agreed significant long-term LNG export contracts with South Korea and India last year.

“Our goal is to seize about 15 percent of the global liquefied natural gas market,” he said. “In the Asia-Pacific region we will grow our presence by increasing our own production of LNG.”

Why would they do that when they can sell to whomever they want?

Selling to the EU is leverage not profit. China and India combined have 2.6 billion people, EU has 0.73 and Sweden and Norway provide much of their energy needs. Why would Russia sell energy to a union that is sanctioning and openly threatening them when they have 3x the market elsewhere? really.

We wouldn't have a problem in North America if we just use the oil/gas we produce here at home. 13.gif

yup.gif And we wouldn't have to cringe watching presidents kiss and hold hands with those responsible for 911. The money trail goes straight to the Saudi's.
There is no more need to prop those vicious bastards, in fact, those people deserve a nice new glass floor to walk on.
