RiaNovosti reports that the combat capability of Russia’s naval task force in the Mediterranean will increase significantly - for the first time in decades - following the first deliveries of Varshavyanka-class submarines (with advanced stealth technology dubbed "black holes in the ocean") to the Black Sea Fleet.

Hi NODOOM,

Interesting information,,,guess he is not going to let his puppet lose,,,

and put him back in Kiev,,,Ukraine can be free and independent,,,

as long as they don't get too free or independent,,,

there is a story about the Soviet Union,,,never went away,,,

thought a lot of the Kiev riots had to do with getting too close to Russia,,,

instead of the EU,,,guess the people are feeling it too,,,

and Russia will do whatever,,,and there is no one to stop them,,,

they will get talked to at the UN,,,but they know it will all pass,,,

but this will get put back together,,,like it was,,,one way or another,,,

my opinion...

Forgive me for saying, but there are far too many countries in the world that wish desperately every day the US would leave them alone.

I would bet everything I have that if one country were to be voted off the earth in order to start again peacefully, it would be the US. It would be unanimous, every country would vote the same.

Forgive me for saying,,,Europe had no problem with the US protecting

them from the Soviet Union,,,no problem taking money from US troops

stationed there,,,till Soviet Union dissolved,,,then it was,,,Thank you very

much for that,,,now get out,,,get lost,,,we got no use for you,,,Europe

saved a lot of money on defense,,,that the US did have to spend,,,and

now they should be wealthly from not having to spend so much,,,but no

they are socialist broke,,,and now if the big bad bear puts the Soviet Union

back together,,,and there is a story about them doing that,,,they could

easily march right across Europe with little to stop them,,,and Europe would

run to the UN and SCREAM!!! for the US to do something,,,believe that...

I don't feel anything really, it is what it is.

I remember a poll some 10 years ago, they asked the Finns who is the biggest threat to world peace or something similar. Up till 2001 the majority always considered Soviet Russia to be that threat. The US is considered to be the current world bully.

This is of course due to foreign policy and nothing to do with the people of a country. Most people can tell the difference.

Hi Octo,

Ok,,,thanks for that,,,There exist the possibility that the Soviets were smart,,,

and by dissolving the Soviet Union,,,they were able to get the World to become

relaxed about it all,,,if this is true,,,it has worked,,,along with that were other

plans to weaken other aspects of the "World",,,then the plan was to put it

back together,,,and go for the World,,,pretty crazy right???,,,except,,,

there are supporting factors,,,in fact many of them,,,so,,,guess we will see,,,

and this probably is the wrong place to go into detail on all this,,,but it makes

an interesting study,,,and won't happen over night,,,but Ukraine is important,,,

everybody can see that much,,,

Nov 25, 2013 - Russia and the European Union are wooing the Ukraine – and only one side can win.

The protests in Kiev only began last month when President Viktor Yanukovych made an unexpected u-turn on a proposal that would have established free trade and furthered political cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union, an agreement that was seen as a possible precursor to EU membership. Instead, Yanukovych began to move toward an agreement with the Russian-directed Eurasian Customs Union (ECU), which includes Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan at present.

I went to school with a few Russians, they were nice, had a good sense of humor and didn't try to take things over, or carry pictures of Lenin or Putin in their wallets and purses. chuckle.gif
They are our next door neighbors, I think it's important to be polite all things considered.
We never worry about a Russian invasion, they come every summer by the thousands.

Hi JayRodney,

Well I worked with a bunch of Russians,,,

and Russia is a big place,,,and opinions varied,,,

but some of them were hard core Soviets,,,

it surprised carefully taught me,,,I thought all the people

hated the Soviet part of it,,,but no,,,they told me

Mikhail Gorbachev was a traitor,,,blah blah blah,,,

and wanted a return to the old way,,,like I said

surprised me,,,and woke me up,,,and as you an I are aware,,,

the people aren't always represented well in what happens,,,

and right after the wall fell,,,I read a very lengthy piece,,,

that went into all sorts of detail about "the plan",,,and to skeptical me

it made way too much sense,,,a plan for the underdog,,,to win,,,

guess we will see,,,I think Ukraine will be a good test piece...
