Oh I wouldn't say that. The Finns have just been isolated for so long that it has its own gene pool

Geneticists love it as the Finns are cooperative and it's a homogeneous group of people so we're ideal to study 13.gif

No one alive now will benefit from this knowledge as breakthroughs like this tend to go into a sort of paralysis of analysis after their initial discovery and are seldom able to be applied in the real world without years of research.

I wonder if new research into treatment of diseases will take this into account, meaning if men and women have different disease susceptabilities, then research should adjust for this...but will it?
