Exactly what has it been used for?

You didn't kill anyone with it did you? Maybe just used it to clear some brush or somethin like that?

Machine made?

No good... it will break soon as I try to wield it against an opponent.

The temperment of the blade is the same along it's full length when it needs to be softer near the hilt and harder for a sharper edge near the business end.

Uhhhh.... well then you probably don't know how to wield it. Sabers are not designed for hacking and slashing. They are designed for parrying and thrusting.... ????

Every Cold Steel blade comes with a certificate of Authenticity and must pass the British break Test. these are EXCELLENT swords. machined or not. I GUARANTEE you, this will not break in a sword fight if you know what you are doing.

Besides, any sword can be broken if it is used improperly.

Performs the same as my sword.

THIS particular sword was made for slashing. The cavalry saber will slash as well, but you only sharpen the fist 10 inches of the tip of the blade. Usually, the slashing part of these blades are the very tip of the blade. regardless if it is sharpened the first 10 inches or not.

Notice, this blade is NOT razor blade sharp.

Also, this is not a machined sword. It is hand forged. you can even see the hammer workings on the blade.
