Law enforcement agencies are responding to reports of an active shooter at a high school outside of Portland.
Reynolds High School in Troutdale is currently on lockdown and authorities are asking people to stay away from the area, KPTV reports.
The wife of a vice principal at the school told the station that she received a text message from her husband that said there was an active shooter.
More than 60 police and sheriff’s units are reportedly on scene in addition to 19 medical personnel and the FBI, according to KOIN 6. A LifeFlight helicopter also landed in a field near the school.
Parents started arriving at the school at 8:45 a.m. local time, despite the warning from authorities.
