You should try. Don't forget though to leave out the personal drama. You need a parallel thing going on that has to do with personal development.

Just saying you need more than one layer of intrigue.

Don't worry about it, most Hollywood writers seem to be clueless as well chuckle.gif

They've lacked good ideas for many years.

As someone who's been involved with screenplay writing ,its very very specific .
There's a format that you MUST follow ,no matter how good the story is,or they won't even look at it .
There's a computer program to do screenplays .
If that's the route you want to go ,I suggest you invest in it .
Also, once a year in Hollywood ,there is a screenplay symposium ,where screenplay writers can meet directors ,huge ones ,and they can submit their stuff to the directors.

The first page ,MUST grab their attention .
If they read the first page, then they ask you to submit the first scene chapter.
If you get past the first chapter being accepted, you may just get them to buy it .
It does happen this way .

Do know, they will tell you point blank ,we hate New innovative stuff. Please give us rehash of the same stuff .We dig making big bucks on the moronic repeat clients .
Second,COPYRIGHT YOUR STUFF BEFORE GIVING IT TO ANYONE ,as screen plays that weren't copy righted ,have been stolen .
My friend pretty much wrote cabin in the woods. That wasn't her title ,and they changed a few points ,but she handed this screenplay in,at a symposium ,uncopyrighted ,about four five years ago .

She complained to the alleged writer and director ,and got nowhere.
She submitted that screenplay at one of these symposiums ,and since it wasn't copyrighted, she was screwed over royally,Hollywood style .
Yes,really .
