It's suppose to be 6 deg. C here (Ontario Canada) today, but I'm freezing in this office. I wonder if they turned the heat off. 13.gif

It might be some automatic thermostat thing. Our body is pretty sensitive when it comes to registering temperature changes.

So many factors, humidity and wind always makes it feel more uncomfortable. We had a 9 degree day yesterday, but the wind was bone chilling.
Finland has been awfully windy these last couple of years. hmm.gif

Im outside of Augusta Ga. We see snow here about every three years or so. This winter has been brutal, Temps are down more than normal, and we have had two major Ice storms here. GA is full of Southern pines and when they get covered in ice they cant bear the weight. We had power outage at my house for five days.
Heres a pic of our Backyard on day one, and things got way worse.

İmage

Our county was declared a disaster area by FEMA. Four weeks later there are still trees and debris laying everywhere.

Three days later we were running the air conditioner because the Temps were up to the low 80s. A.C in February go figure. I've never seen anything like this in 58 orbits of the sun here.

damned.gif Ho lee crap! Hard to believe the temps change, but growing up in Indiana, I saw a lot of the same thing.
I recall camping out in March, when we went to sleep it was in the mid 70's and upon awakening it was 27 and 4 inches of new snow!

Well, I was just sitting outside of my place of employment catching some rays and eating an orange, it's beautiful here now, but tomorrow we are expecting -10 deg C temps with any where from 15 - 25 cm of snow. I just told them here that I'm not coming in tomorrow afternoon, and they were not very happy about it. I don't care, the stress of commuting here is bad enough on a good day, but throw in 25 cm of snow...no way. 13.gif

Typical spring weather, or April weather it would be called here. 13.gif Good idea to stay home if you can, I know how stressful it can be to get out on the roads in bad weather.

Vermont is getting hit this week with a good storm :beer cheer:

I think this may be my last 3 day ski weekend of the year, so the timing is great.

Tease (Beyond). More teasing for me this weekend as I believe a Canada Blooms show is on, and I promised my mother to buy her lots of catnip seeds to strew about her backyard for her very spoiled rotten kitty.

Ticks require a relatively wet habitat so they're not found dry climates. I agree, they're evil parasites from hell. Nasty ass creatures.
I just watched this documentary the other night and i was able to find this video segment about moose and ticks and let me tell ya this is a sad and sickening and frightening reality!

Malnourished (ghost) moose are being found wandering around (even during frigid winter) in a sick agonizing daze with over 100,000 ticks (One Hundred Thousand Ticks!!!) latched onto their bodies while fully engorging themselves with about half of the helplessly doomed animals entire blood supply equaling around 5 gallons!

We always hear about mosquitos and they are certainly terrible killers but i think ticks are also an evil blood sucking disease spreading vampiric nemesis just as horrible and menacing!
