Today marks the birthday of Simo Häyhä (born 1905, died April 1, 2002.) He was the world's most successful sniper. Using an iron-sighted Mosin–Nagant in Finland's Winter War, he had an astounding 505 confirmed sniper kills.

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.

" Take a deep breath ,,, let it half way out and HOLD it,,,, slowly squeeze the trigger ,,

do not anticipate the blast or you will jerk the weapon throwing your aim off . "

This is how I train people to shoot , to make a Marksman .

Simo obviously knew this refined technique ,,,

A daily account of the kills at Kollaa was made for the Finnish snipers. Remarkably, all of Häyhä's kills were accomplished in fewer than 100 days – in other words, approximately five kills per day – at a time of year with very few hours of daylight.

Yes, Simo knew his stuff.

Simo packed his mouth with snow so they wouldn't see his breath. Yeah, he was on it.

Then the Russians sent a squad of snipers to kill him so he killed them first.

The Commies must have been seeing red...

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

Stalin locked himself up for three days,
probably having hissy fits of frustration.

Sorry for all the horrible human suffering,
I feel sorry for those clueless Ukranian guys,

Thank you, Simo.
Everlasting respect.

yup.gif Sent to a war they knew they could not win with very little in terms of supplies.
Stalin sent them to Finland to rid himself of them, the operation was never about winning a war.
It was obviously all about purging the undesirables.
