The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is due to report on the state of Iran’s nuclear capabilities on November 8, and that assessment is likely to influence Israel’s decision.

And this...

I'm a 'certified' CERT member. 'Certified emergency response team'

I took all the training with the thought I may be able to help out in my small town.
I resigned from the team when it became clear we would be used as a TSA pawn at least in my view.

I am still on the email list and just received this.....

"CERT members are needed for the state-wide decontamination drill that is being conducted by the hospital this Friday, Nov 4. Eight additional CERT members are needed to supplement the CERT members that already are assigned. These 8 members will be security at the hospital to control access to the hospital and decontamination areas. Reporting time will be by 9:00 am at the CERT trailer that will be parked on the north end of the hospital parking area. The event will last until noon. Payson Fire and Police will be part of the drill. This is a very important drill for us and the first time we have been invited to a state wide drill. Grant Smith will be the team captain and will check you in at the CERT trailer at 9:00 am sharp. You will need to park your cars in the north parking lot of the LDS church located just south of the hospital and walk around the hospital to the CERT trailer. Bring your badge (mandatory), CERT vest and hat, water. NOTE: We
need to be disciplined and comply exactly with the orders of the team captain (Grant Smith). Do not come if you can't follow orders. We have to be disciplined so we don't fail the drill. Notify Roger by phone or email him by 7:00 pm Wednesday night if you can be there. We have to report our people to the hospital by Thursday am. The hospital is really depending on CERT support to pass the drill. And another surprise: The CERT trailer has almost completed remodeling! Certain CERT people have been working very hard to get it ready for this drill. They are awesome! Let me know if you can join the security team. Thanks for all that each of you do for the community"

All this and the upcoming EAS media take over.......interesting...

Allrighty then. Indeed Octo, we all knew this was coming. Get ready for some serious population reduction, bet this involves a few nukes. This will quickly escalate to WW III.

This pre-emptive strike on Iran has been predicted every week for the last 10 years it seems. Perhaps this time is no different. But there's a clusterfuck of bad news around every corner and the banksters would really like to see more war.

Bingo, when the economy is so bad they can no longer make money by ripping people of the traditional way, then the only option is, as usual, finance both sides of a long protracted conflict.

Quote:Netanyahu trying to persuade cabinet to support attack on Iran

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak are trying to muster a majority in the cabinet in favor of military action against Iran, a senior Israeli official has said. According to the official, there is a "small advantage" in the cabinet for the opponents of such an attack.

Netanyahu and Barak recently persuaded Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who previously objected to attacking Iran, to support such a move.

Although more than a million Israelis have had to seek shelter during a week of rockets raining down on the south, political leaders have diverted their attention to arguing over a possible war with Iran. Leading ministers were publicly dropping hints on Tuesday that Israeli could attack Iran, although a member of the forum of eight senior ministers said no such decision had been taken.

The Air Force, which according to foreign reports has gone on dry runs to practice such an attack on previous occasions over the past decade, would first have to neutralize Iran’s aerial defense capabilities, blind Iran’s radars, destroy command and control centers and paralyze Iran’s own air force for a while, before overcoming fortifications and special aerial defense measures placed by the Iranians around their nuclear sites. The operational challenge is vast.

The Air Force would in effect have to take temporary control over sections of Iran’s airspace before being able to target nuclear facilities, some of which are hidden in mountains or deep underground.

The mission would require the use of powerful bunker-busting bombs, as well as possible repeated strikes to ensure success.

According to a Newsweek article from September, the US has already transferred 55 such bombs to Israel.

Iran would cause serious damage to the United States and Israel should the latter launch an attack on the Islamic Republic, Iran's top military official said on Wednesday.

The "Zionist regime's military attack against Iran," Chairman of Iran's Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Hassan Fayrouz Abadi said, would lead to "heavy damages to the US as well as [to the] Zionist regime," Iranian news agency ISNA reported.

Iran would attack Israel in a "surprising" way, he was quoted by Army Radio as saying.

The issue came up, that if Israel pre-emptively strikes Iran that the Muslim world would go apeshit. Well, who? Which country in the M.E. would or could step in? China or Russia at the cost of MAD. I don't know if they're willing to do that. Syria is tied, Libya fighting her own battles, Turkey a member of NATO, Lebanon crushed, Pakistan under threat, Afghanistan helpless other than rhetoric, India a strong US allie, I'm looking at the map trying to find just one country that could or would intervene on Iran's behalf. I don't see any.

I don't doubt it. They've had notice since Feb 2002 that they were marked for 'liberating' and you can bet they didn't waste their grace period. TSA and DHS are so ğkking incompetent they couldn't find their ass with both hands. Stock up on beer, KI and tug toners.

China has energy ties to Iran that are worth protecting. Will they do it? dunno.gif If the US gets involved as an Israel ally they could very well cut off all further US loans, so I see the US sitting on the sidelines here with the exception of bombs etc.
Going to be a lot of problems.

China won't get involved. Their Oil companies got some pretty good contracts out of Iraq without having any boots on the ground. Yes they had over 30,000 workers evacuated from Libya. But they will return, if S doesn't HTF too hard. In Afghanistan there are US troops protecting Chinese workers at mineral/metal mine sites. China has basically said if the US invades Pakistan its a defacto invasion of China, that is where they have drawn the line at least publicly.
