Yeah, I'm with you on that. They won't squander the advantages they do have, chances are they get a decent kickback for not getting involved. Putin has Yanked the rug a few times and remains the wildcard. Perhaps he's just sitting back waiting for the empire to consume it's self...

Britain's armed forces are stepping up their contingency planning for potential military action against Iran amid mounting concern about Tehran's nuclear enrichment programme, the Guardian has learned.

The Ministry of Defence believes the US may decide to fast-forward plans for targeted missile strikes at some key Iranian facilities. British officials say that if Washington presses ahead it will seek, and receive, UK military help for any mission, despite some deep reservations within the coalition government.

US economic growth after WWI and II wasn't the result of these wars.

The destruction of lives and capital does not lead to prosperity, this is military industrial / strong defense cannon fodder, and is politically motivated.

The real truth is the US economy experienced growth after the wars when the federal government shrank and the soldiers came home and took jobs in production, you know the ones Bush and Obama sent to China.

At that juncture it freed up private business to produce and hire, thus leading to real sustainable economic growth.

The banks and Federal reserve policies caused the depression we now find ourselves in by creating artificial bubbles. Right now the fed is creating inflation through monetary policy. High oil prices were the nail in the coffin for the whole deal.

We're up to our necks in shït, and it's not because of lack of war. Just read this morning the military Report: Military pissed away $1 Trillion on Weapons Since 9/11, if war was good for the economy, we'd all be kings by that logic. http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/11/...s-spending

This is the Plan Ron Paul has for America without the war. No reason it should not work again. The Military industrial complex concentrates any war profit into the hands of a few, it would be better by far to go isolationist. All that money given to other countries could be spent at home on infrastructure and refurbishing factories to begin producing made in America products.

IMO Production is the answer here, not war. cheers.gif
