Sting rays can be dangerous. That crocodile guy found out the hard way.

Not too long after that down in South Florida, a couple were out on their boat when a stingray flew up out of the water into their boat.

If memory serves correctly, the wife got hit right in the heart with the stinger - apparently those suckers know where to strike because crikey guy suffered the same fatal blow to the heart.

The FL woman died.

Steve wrestled and subdued/captured alligators/crocodiles with his bare hands all the time and nothing bad happened to him...

He was more then well aware of the dangers but the ray "just happened" to sting/stab him right in his heart?!

Like that bear loving guy who would walk right up to 1,500lb wild bears and talk to them like they were friendly people and he ended up getting mauled and eaten...

And the tiger lovers/trainers who get ripped to shreds...

And the orca/killer whale lovers/trainers who get tossed around like volley balls and killed...

Agreed. The image of him holding his toddler near a huge croc showed what a fool he was. The expression familiarity breeds contempt fits.

You can pet them at Mote Marine in Sarasota too. It's worth a drive down there if you've never been.
