I decided to do it for the summer.
I usually don't discuss stuff like this here, but it's an interesting experience.
I bought pre made meals from a place called VEESTRO. The meals are very good. Decent portions, and would cost me maybe less than I would spend on food normally for the same time frame.
It's all completely organic no pesticides, GMOs, additives. Some of them are delicious. Some you cannot tell it's not real chicken etc.
I will have a couple of eggs every few days, and I will still put milk in my tea and cheese on my pasta, but it's very small bits.

In three weeks I seem to have lost a ton of weight without trying at all. My taste for sweets has diminished incredibly. Looking at meat makes me a little queasy now, and I cannot eat anything with GMO crap in it now. I get deathly ill.

I did discover that there IS such a thing as too much quinoa however.

Now that I'm on the road, I'm going to start looking into learning how to cook vegan. Again, I'm not so hysterical that eggs and dairy are off limits, but I do feel better about not eating dead animals.
The milk and eggs I buy are ethical stuff direct from humane farms too....

Is anyone on here vegan?
Tips advice recipes?
I'm just looking into vegan brands and things like meat substitutes and veggie crumbs etc.

I do vegan for stints at a time, 70% of my meals are vegan, there is an amazing organic vegan place near my place, its kind of nice not cooking.. I do cook tofu or tempeh stir fries, and I have always cooked lentils, I eat a lot of kidney beans with a nachos I make myself..

I still eat organic eggs every day for breakfast.. And I put milk on my cereal.. Rice milk is ok though. Almond milk is too expensive otherwise I would use it only..

I find I get sick of tofu, then cant touch it for months, I dont think soy is very healthy, small doses only..

We've been talking about making more vegan food as well. My son just quit eating meat altogether, except fish and eggs.

This is a great recipe, I love it:

I used powdered cilantro instead of fresh though, the spice color combo is gorgeous

Oh yum, I make an Indian lentil soup that's close to the first recipe you posted. It's delicious and has curry and lemon juice. I use chicken broth, but any broth is doable I guess.

I know. Nut butters and such perplex me. Weight appears to be falling off effortlessly.
I bought some meat crumbles to try my hand at a vegan chili.

I did full vegan for about 18 months.. Loved it. Moved in with a friend who is like a chef and I started eating meat again, well mostly chicken, which I love.. Prior to being vegan I was on a meat only diet for a year, due to health problems with my stomach, so couldn't eat carbs of any kind, even Beetroot was too high in carb, would send my body into a fit.. I would eat a whole chicken for lunch.. So after healing my stomach, I didn't want to look at meat ever again..
