cheers.gif Yes, the first stages are determining where and what type of land, although we have basically settled for land around Salmon Arm, B.C.

I want land with a patch of mixed flora (trees mostly for firewood) but a low risk of forest fires, a higher elevation for cleaner well water and less risk of flooding (hopefully), relatively close to a community with hospital, etc. Yeah, there is much to consider when one is entering into old age. As for the earth ship home, we will have a company build it and sit back and watch...it's only $13-20,000 to build a 2-story home...supposedly. So when the time nears, I'll need to ramp up my research and when we retire we'll need to plan a trip to B.C. to check out the terrain.
