One Person's Handwriting Derails Maine Pot Legalization Initiative

Quote:Maine officials have blocked a marijuana legalization initiative from appearing on November ballots, citing one public notary’s allegedly inconsistent signature. The Wednesday decision infuriated the measure’s backers, who say they will fight the “handwriting technicality” in court.

Quote:More than 17,000 otherwise valid signatures were invalidated because of the one notary's signature being called into question, the Maine Secretary of State’s office said. If they had been counted, the campaign would have comfortably cleared the 61,123 signature threshold for ballot access.

Quote:Though his office now says it did not reach out to the notary, Secretary of State Matt Dunlap gave some listeners the opposite impression Wednesday, when he told Maine Public Radio “it became apparent to us that we could not get good answers to our questions about the relationship between the notary and the circulator.”

That comment gave campaigners the impression questions had been asked of the notary, something Boyer says he found to be untrue as the person told him they had not been contacted at all.

This initiative is expected to pass in Maine and a handful of officials are trying to stop it. A decision must be made in superior court within 40 days. I guess we will see.

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

So many narrow minded delusional people, with their idiotic heads buried deep within the sands of denial, dont have anything better to do...

Quote: "Narcotics have been systematically scapegoated and demonized"

"The idea that anyone can use drugs and escape a horrible fate is an anathema to these idiots"

"I predict in the near future right wingers will use drug hysteria as a pretext to set up an international police apparatus"

"But i'm an old man and i may not live to see a Final Solution of the drug problem"

Harvard graduate William S Burroughs cameo appearance, during a scene from the movie Drugstore Cowboy, written and directed by Gus Van Sant and released in 1989...

Anathema - An object of loathing, somebody or something that is greatly disliked or detested and is therefore shunned and formally denounced...

Remember and never forget how the Nazis called their evil Holocaust a Final Solution to their fabricated paranoia problems...

Absolutely frightening and completely faith shattering premonitional warning, thats all too f###en true and very f###en possible, an imminent and impending twenty first century genocide...

Create and spread invented fear and false paranoia and then round up all the demonized drug addicts and systematically eliminate them...

Meanwhile, in reality, many of the virtually untouchable anti drug law makers, those two faced back stabbing politicians, are being driven around inside their luxury limousines, with their thousand dollar a night high class prostitutes, cruising the cities, eating five hundred dollar meals and staying within five star hotel rooms, doing bag after bag of high quality cocaine, like what the f##k, tell me i'm wrong, cuz i aint, while the out in the open, mentally depressed and financially oppressed drug addicts are demonized and rounded up and caged, by a fallen society trapped in denial...
