I got a jar of spirulina tablets the other week and just wanted to recommend this to anybody interested in boosting their immune system and a bunch of other good things cheers.gif

Quote:This tiny aquatic plant offers 60% all-vegetable protein, essential vitamins and phytonutrients such as the antioxidant beta carotene, the rare essential fatty acid GLA, sulfolipids, glycolipids and polysaccharides.

Spirulina is an ideal anti-aging food; concentrated nutrient value, easily digested and loaded with antioxidants. Beta carotene is good for healthy eyes and vision. This all vegetable, low fat protein means we can lighten up on a meat centered diet that can aggravate arthritis and raise cholesterol. When we choose to eat less meat, vegetables like spirulina are good sources of more iron and essential minerals.

World's highest beta carotene food reduces long term health risks

Spirulina beta carotene is ten times more concentrated than carrots. So even if you don't eat the recommended 4 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables every day (most people eat only 1-2, including french fries), get your natural beta carotene insurance from spirulina to help support your body's defenses.

60% easy-to-digest vegetable protein without the fat and cholesterol of meat

Spirulina is the highest protein food with all the essential amino acids and has only a few calories to keep your waistline where you want it.

Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) in mother's milk helps develop healthy babies. Studies show nutritional deficiencies can block GLA production in your body, so a good dietary source of GLA can be important. Spirulina is the only other whole food with GLA.

And also very interesting:

Quote:In 1994, a Russian Patent was awarded for spirulina as a medical food to reduce allergic reactions from radiation sickness. 270 Children of Chernobyl consuming 5 grams a day for 45 days (donated by Earthrise Farms), lowered radionucleides by 50%, and normalized allergic sensitivities.

Take care of yerselves cheers.gif

Interesting side note, it's done wonders for my allergies! I'm also taking kelp as a natural iodine supplement. I have to say I'm feeling okay despite the low dose of radiation.

To day there are somewhere around 30,000,000 children at high risk of death by malnutrition. To provide 10 grams of Spirulina daily to 30,000,000 children would require a yearly production of 109,500 tons - calling for at least 3000 hectares of Spirulina farms.

As it would take 6 million cubic-meters of water to fill the 3000 hectares just 20 centimeters deep, and could require over 36,000,000 cubic meters more water to make up for evaporation over a year's time,
.
To produce this Spirulina for 30,000,000 children would equal the cost of one day of the 100-day Gulf War

Hemp seed and spirulina could feed to world.

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

We eat both daily! They are live here, none of that bullshit sterile crap. We have them in homemade bread. Never could grasp why hempseeds had to be sterilized, good luck getting stoned off hemp. rofl.gif
Of course it's not that lol. It scares the hell out of big oil, big pharma, the cotton industry etc. We could all be 100% self sufficient if hemp could be grown.
It exemplifies who really runs the show.
