Wish us luck.
We stayed here once before, but didn't realize it was haunted...well one room is supposedly haunted ROOM 207. Anyway, nothing out of the ordinary happened during that stay.
We knowlingly stayed in a converted jailhouse to hotel in Cobourg, Ontario a few years back. The existing rooms were converted from actual cells, with the chain showers being in original condition. In that room the TV would shut off by itself, and the lamp by the window would flicker. I dealt with the problems by turning both off. Actually, I did feel a presence in the room, but it was more interested in my hubby than me, so neither of us got a good night's sleep.
I told hubby that I don't want to do that again, but I booked the hotel yesterday not knowing about the haunting, so hopefully we will not get ROOM 207.
It's a lovely little town, Niagara-on-the-Lake. It's one of our favorites. I hope hubby will agree to a one hour tour on a horse drawn carriage tonight. I went on this tour with my daughter the last time, but only for a half hour, and it was great but I felt we missed half the tour. The video below shows exactly what's it like in the Summertime. If you walk further down from the art gallery you will come upon a lovely park right at the lake, with an American Fort within view (on the video).
