İmage I knew this was going to get out of control when Bill took the iPOD hostage... 13.gif

I was not a fan but he was a MARKETING GENIUS that got people to pay exorbitant amounts of money to get that goofy little fruit logo.

The Man was a modern day slave master. Go see and ask the slave workers in China at foxconn. Some were worked so hard, death was better than making another Ipad. So instead of improving working conditions the bosses put up nets to stop their slaves for jumping off the roof.

Out of sight and out of mind. The products he sold with his slick consumer marketing, should be produced and not only designed in USA.

I hear your grievances AK, closer to home Octo had a G5 power pc that stopped being supported after leopard. Pissed me off good considering she paid 2,000€ for the damn thing.
Anyway, I can run lion on my quad core intel with asus p5e deluxe mobo and 8 gig of ram off a stock install disk and chameleon boot loader. So Apples new flagship OS can work on a PC but not on Apple equipment after they crawled into bed with intel.
Not a brilliant move, but there will be no repeat customers here.

True, but where would we be if not for Steve Jobs and Bill Gates? Love 'em or hate 'em, we would still be in the TRS-80 age without 'em. Their marketing and sales resulted in massive amounts of cash to fund RnD in every aspect of the computer industry.

I'm not a fan of either man, but I am thankful for the great advancements in computer tech that can be directly attributed to them.
