An empty canvas can be intimidating. I wouldn't worry about it, it'll come to you. Do some drugs if you're impatient  time.gif

I find that when I lose my inspiration I'm losing myself. If I allow stress and reactions overtake me I'm not creative. I'm feeling very creative right now.

Don't force it. Do something completely different.

I have been racking my brain as to which 'something completely different' thing I might do, and I have lots of choices because I dabble in many crafts. Right now I am looking after my new seedlings of marijuana and cooking herbs. Today I will plant seeds of edible herbs for cooking too and see how that goes. Maybe you are right, I need the help of the THC.

I tried going outside as a first attempt at getting inspired but the temps at that time were cold, icy, windy and the skies were grey.

I will try again when Spring allows for planting and take a walk in my trillium-rich forest.

There is an all purpose question that's almost as good as the number "42" for resolving just about anything. It has been a great in helping me to come up with many inventions, along with discoveries and self awareness matters. I ask the question twice focusing on the word "discovering" the first time and "love" the second time.

Sometime an answer is immediate and sometimes it takes a half hour or days. Meanwhile a bunch of other answers and insights also show up.

"Why do I love discovering what's between me and loving kindness?"

You might be wondering what in the heck a question like that has to do with coming up with a concept for a painting. Somehow the question "gets at" whatever that feeling or thought you would have that's in the way when you ask yourself what to paint but nothing satisfactory comes to mind.

The same question works for other stuff, too. There is no need to repeat it beyond twice as long as you're halfway listening.

Hi BAG, yeah I asked the question and all I come up with is to volunteer, but with the say at home order it's not in the cards right now. But, thanks a lot anyway, and I'll ask the same question tomorrow until the message changes.

Good for you, US! I find myself asking at different times of the day, especially when something I'm not thrilled about occurs. The upset could be a simple as dropping something on the floor.

I have more and more days like that where I either drop things all day or hurt myself all day. I asked the question again and now it is 'mother', so I will be devoting more time to my mother. Who knows, maybe she will inspire me.

Maybe a self portrait as you see your self not what you see in the mirror might be inspirational .
