Hmm, I like the look of that flagstone path to nowhere.

That was very well done, it takes time to level that out, tamp the soil and sand mix, then you have to make adjustments in the first week or two and after it rains as a few will settle unevenly.

I know what's involved because I took a night course in landscape design and I'm not too sure I want to invite all that work right now because I'm just getting recovering from a bout of vitamin B12 deficiency.

That's right Octo, you know all ghosts embed themselves in wood and stone. blink.gif

Video of a David Kalish kaleidoscope in action. 3 mirrors, semi-precious stones (e.g. rutilated quartz, obsidian, carnelian, amethyst) in clear oil.

Italy: Michelangelo's David at risk from weak ankles

The 5.5 tonne sculpture is showing signs of micro-fractures in its legs and researchers in the Italian city of Florence warn it could collapse under its own weight. The carved tree stump behind David's right leg, which bears most of its weight, may also have cracks, recent findings from the National Research Council show.

The 5m (17ft) statue was already fragile because of the poor-quality marble Michelangelo chose for his masterpiece, as well as its great weight and off-centre pose, La Gazetta del Sud reports.

I hope they get it stabilized. 13.gif Poor quality eh?

The statue of david certainly is top heavy. I wonder if they suspend it somehow, that would help to reduce the stresses on the lower parts?

Those are very nice. I'd love to have something like that in a garden.

And no, I didn't have a pet rock. chuckle.gif
