Oh, ffs ~ I'm stocked up to the gills. chuckle.gif

All the Kindles and laptops charged. Camping gear at the ready. We're set and don't need to travel anywhere except in our slippers to and fro within the domicile.

The combo of cold, wind and damp can be brutal. In some ways, it's worse than here where we usually get a dry cold.

Exactly. Its bitter cold with the sea breeze and frozen drizzling fog (if that makes sense).

I would much rather it be dry and freezing cold than this nasty BS. Gloomy all day FFS but it could be worse so I cant really complain too much.

Here on the Emerald Coast (Panhandle) it was shocking to see a layer of ice covering my car. The doors were frozen shut. This was around 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

Took some lukewarm water and poured it around the doors, otherwise I couldn't get the doors open.

There was beaded thick ice on the windshield as if maybe we got some small hale.

It took several minutes for the windows to defrost because the air temp was close to 32 degrees.

The amazing thing is how businesses and schools were cancelled for tomorrow although tomorrow isn't even here yet. I took a sick friend to get some lab work done, but the place had two signs, One said it was closed yesterday (early closing) and today, and the other said it was closed tomorrow! wtf2.gif

The weather could change between now and tomorrow. Jest sayin'.

Pray for me. hug.gif
