THE body of the Brown University student who was wrongly identified as a Boston Marathon bomber has been found.

The Rhode Island medical examiner’s office says a body found pulled from a river in Providence is that of a Brown University student missing since last month.

Tripathi was one of the people who was wrongly identified as a potential Boston bomber, after crowdsourcing groups on Reddit posted his name as someone who resembled the suspect in a white baseball cap in FBI photos of the suspect. That man in the baseball cap was in fact Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the suspect currently in police custody in hospital in Boston.

Health Department spokeswoman Dara Chadwick says the body of 22-year-old Sunil Tripathi was identified morning through a forensic dental exam. The cause of death has not been determined.

Oh Boy, if this Kid committed suicide because of a false accusation the CT communities are in big trouble.

I was just reading this!

Seems like he had been missing for a while though.

Quote:It was not immediately clear when Tripathi, who was last seen March 15, died. The cause of death has also not been determined.

Ya? Wasn't that the dude that was already missing and is one of the reasons people were pointing the finger at him?

the good thing:

if he wasn´t a false suspect, he wouldn´t have get the media attention - and would still be lying in that water.
so in the end, being a false suspect made him being found - it is sad, of course, but his parents/family can get a rest now.

So, let me get this straight. The first Saudi "false suspect" was about to be deported due to "known terrorist" status (that status was revoked virtually overnight).... AND gets a visit from the first lady.
The other ends up dead.
What a contrast, what a country. beerbong.gif
