Quote:The Media Research Center reported that ABC, CBS and NBC combined to cover Collins’ arrest on evening and morning newscasts for a combined 18 minutes and 24 seconds during the first 24 hours of coverage. The MRC study also noted that similar ordeals involving a Democrat received little to no attention from the same networks.

Quote:“On Wednesday and Thursday, the networks not only offered a lot of time to Collins’s arrest, but they also heavily emphasized the Republican’s connection to Trump,” Whitlock wrote. “Is that the journalistic standard now? Corruption matters because Trump is President? Apparently, corrupt Democrats were of no concern during the Obama era.”
The article gives examples of two Dems who were arrested and convicted. One of the received 68 seconds of air time from the time of her arrest until his conviction a year and a half later. The second example received 0 air time.
I am speaking of the life of a man who knows that the world is not given by his fathers, but borrowed from his children; who has undertaken to cherish it and do it no damage, not because he is duty-bound, but because he loves the world and loves his children… - Wendell Berry, 1971
