Quote:Maybe we just hear all the worst things about the Transportation Security Administration, rendering us dubious, but for most Americans the agency seems to be doing a pretty good job running airport security. That's according to a new survey that found 54% of the country feel the TSA's work is either good or excellent, and about 30% grading it as just fair.

I feel the same way about polls here AK. I rarely come across anything worth participating in here in the local paper as it's usually so insanely asinine; example: "What do you look forward to this fall?"

1. blah blah
2. blah blah blubah
3. bleh
4. some other blah

No one seems to remember that in the year 2000, there was such a labor shortage in the US that people over 65 were allowed to continue working past age 65 with no penalty to their Social Security benefits.
9-11 comes along and now we "need" 250,000 Homeland Security specialists.
So, from the ranks of the hard core unemployable, this group was formed. Thugs, layabouts, and ne'er-do-wells have been given the power of law over the population, who submit to these laws as if they were for our own good.
TSA goons still have marks on their foreheads from their McDonalds hats, yet they can arrest anyone in the country.
I'm glad I'm in my 60th year, I was a kid in the 50s and this was a much different country.

There's plenty of room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes!
