After Obama has destroyed the economy and the infrastructure has collapsed the three issues will be:
1. Potable water.
2. Eatable food.
3. Warmth/Shelter.

This is a timely thread.

iagree.gif good to have you both here beercheer.gif

For christmas two years ago I gave my immediate family survival kits. A hand-crank flashlight/radio, 3 ways to start a fire, first aid kit, protein bars, reflective blanket, compass, water purification tablets, knife etc. they weren't large or expensive, and the small bag I put them in is water proof (as in bucket).

Anyways, the best warmth/shelter you can have is good clothing.

As time goes by, I will show you how to create a Survival Kit for just about every situation. If we survive long enough for you to learn it. LOL

hi5.gif That would be cool, I just tried to imagine what would be necessary for a day or two, nothing long term. And to get them thinking I guess. I grew up off the grid in the back of beyond, so I'm not really new to survival. But a good kit, no I don't know how to put one together.
