I think it looks great already. A couple of stools in front of it we can chug all sorts of drinks by it.

lmao.gif you think that splintered mess looks good? But well... it would hold a drink and we could pull up stools around it rofl.gif

So I guess what you're saying is a glass would tip over on the keyboard but not now?

I'm saying the wood looks great, just needs a finish and possibly a Finnish. It's sturdy as hell and you can even paint keys on there for the superdrunk to play. Ahem anon.gif

You're right it's rosewood and the bits I've stripped look beautiful sans 40 yr old stain. You spotted that quick. Sturdy yes, to take a bfh and a 5' iron prybar. I wish I could christen it with a fine Finnish.

I do too, but I hope you have it done before a Finn make it there chuckle.gif

I'd just sand the rosewood and oil it. We can christen it like bastards eventually drunk.gif

It may not be here long after finishing. If i don't wreck it first which is a real possibility. Damn near did already chuckle.gif Maybe if I have someone to help me Finnish it properly, I'll have one to start on from scratch drunk.gif

I think it's a worthy project. Leave it in the shop if you ran out of steam. It's still a sturdy flat piece that holds beer just fine.

I haven't run out of steam, I'm frustrated I can't get at it. Between work and the weather turning cold. Nearly time to discard the niceties and bring out the belt sander. fatman.gif
