A woman in a supermarket is following a grandfather and his badly-behaved grandson.

He has his hands full with the child screaming for sweets, biscuits, all sorts of things. The grandad is saying in a controlled voice: "Easy, William, we won't be long . . . easy boy."

Another outburst and she hears the grandad calmly say : "It's okay William. Just a couple more minutes and we'll be out of here. Hang in there, boy."

At the checkout the little horror is throwing items out of the trolley. Grandad says again in a controlled voice : "William, William, relax buddy, don't get upset. We'll be home in five minutes, stay cool William."

Very impressed, she goes outside to where the grandfather is loading his groceries and the boy into the car. She says :

"It's none of my business, but you were amazing in there. I don't know how you did it. That whole time you kept your composure, and no matter how loud and disruptive he got, you just calmly kept saying things would be okay. William is very lucky to have you as his grandad."

"Thanks," says the grandpa. "But I am William. The little bastard's name is Kevin."

I know how to use the reward system, so that s*t never happens.

Quote:A little boy was lost at a large shopping mall

A little boy was lost at a large shopping mall. He approached a uniformed policeman and said, "I've lost my dad!"

The cop asked, "What's he like?"

The little boy replied, "Beer and women with big boobs."

I do too. Act up and I reward you with an ass whipping.

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

Me too. I never had problems with my kids. They were always well behaved and people were always impressed. I found it a bit odd that so many kids are so poorly behaved that people are amazed enough to comment when a few aren't. I believe that allowing your child to get out of control like that should be considered child abuse.

I think the social ostracizing is enough for most. Mr and my wife call them "trash moms" (or dad's)
you know, the people in Walmart telling their kids to "shut the ğck up" while they are throwing stuff out of the Cart.

our kids are directly involved with our lives. I discuss with our 3 and 5 year old what would be the best purchase, and what they would like.

it's the same for most aspects of our life. my 5 year old daughter Luke's getting wood from outside because "she likes to help keep the family warm".
it's amazing what a little team work can accomplish.
