Look closely at the behavior around the 48 second mark,
This is not a dog, or member of the K9 family - they don't use their paws/hands in this manner.
Strange, it almost looks marsupial.

Could it be a raccoon? I've never seen one, especially not a naked one. 13.gif

Me neither Yankees. I suspect they have something out of the ordinary. As for a raccoon with mange, it really doesn't look right for that either.
Honestly, it puts me in mind of a carnivorous marsupial.
Wish I could find more footage or info on this

I'm guessing it may be a racoon with mutative genes.

Its head and tail and snout and ears looks like some kind of hybrid mutant rat?!

To me there's quite a difference. The face doesn't look the same, the skin color is all wrong. Of course, I'm not saying it's out of the question.
DNA tests should be performed to determine at least, what it isn't.

Some rats can get pretty damn big as far as regular rats go and vicious and frightening as well and this chupacabra creature to my eyes and mind really does look like some type of naturally occurring or artificially created hybrid mutant rat that mated or was cross bred with who knows what?!

For sure DNA testing should be done by wildlife experts. It reminds me of a raccoon, a dog, and a kangaroo. Do raccoons growl?

Raccoon growl at 1:30 into vid for comparison purposes with growl from alleged caged chupacabra.

Wait a minute,i seem to recall reading in books and hearing on documentaries about chupacabras being seen and encountered as bipedal creatures two of three foot tall bizarre and terrifying entities fanged and hissing and snarling with pointed ears and glowing orange and green and red eyes like demonic trolls or devilish imps or lizard monkeys and so this four legged creature is it even the real thing?!

As I recall, the same thing was said about African Lions when Europeans first returned from there.
Over the years there have been numerous fanciful descriptions of barely known animals, I'd say this falls into that category.

UPDATE: Couple who claimed they caught a live chupacabra, chooses to have the animal euthanized

"Because the Dewitt County Game Warden determined the animal to be a raccoon, on Thursday the couple was given 48 hours to either release the animal or euthanize it, or they would face fines."

No DNA tests, just speculation. I would have strapped a camera on it and let it go. Oh well... gaah.gif Poor thing...whatever it is.
