I wonder how NoDoom is getting on. It's been a while since he checked in. I don't fancy tracking him down in the wilderness of Scotland...

I can see by your coat my friend you're from the other side. Just one thing I got to know. Who won?

Me too. I was planning to go up and visit him in May. I hope he's ok.

So easy for things to go sideways when you're alone and that far from anything.

He is a survivor, look what he has been through the last few years. Nothing to worry about. He said on here that he would be offline cause of limited funds and a need to buy food/supplies. Sooo... He is totally fine.

if it was JR or myself up there, then everyone should worry. chuckle.gif

JR is a resourceful guy and quite able to take care of himself but couldn't organize an orgy on payday in a whore house.

I hope it's nothing. NoDoom is a pretty resourceful guy but if we don't hear from him soon I fear something bad has happened. I could go up to Scotland but I wouldn't know where to look. If he comes back on line I think it would be wise for him to give us coordinates just in case.

This looks like a darn good thread.
Im looking forward to reading it.

I am currently living a somewhat "bugged out" existence.
Our family is off grid (except our tricorders) using solar pannels and a wind generator. We haul water from our own well using a hand pump. We have an underground detatched root cellar where we can over 200 cans every season. Our garden is a half acre.
We hunt and trap, and farm sheep, goats, chickens and rabbits.

We love it here but we are actually considering buggin out a bit farther into the bush. Were currently 10 miles by dirt road to the closest town of 100.
We are not fully ready for "anything" but we have a good start.

We live primativly. I believe that learning to live without, is a most important skill. survival is a mindframe and not the amount of stuff you can buy.

this ^^

Nodoom went totally hardcore, but he doesn't have family to worry about. I'm sure there's stuff we can learn from each other here.
