No smoker unfortunately. East London style jellied Eels are also great. drool.gif

Isn't eel overfished? 13.gif My daughter's favourite meal is eel sushi and the last time I took her for sushi she refused to order eel because she said it is being overfished.

All fish is being overfished. I don't know if they farm eel, but it's a poor way to manage the resources of this globe. You need something like 4 kilos of fish flour to produce 1 kilo of farmed fish blink.gif Not to mention whatever drugs and diseases may escape these farms.

This is a Katiska, a fairly simple fish trap that you probably can make yourself if you have the tools and material.

This equipment I have for the internet is a pain in the ass!

I have a good connection but many times I have no data transfer! I will have yo go to the city and try to get it sorted! gaah.gif

As to life here at the 'Bugout'.

Well I have found a waterway with salmon and trout a few hours walk away. It is not permitted to fish without a licence and the licence is only available to members of some fishing club! To hell with that. I will just have to be a poacher. 13.gif

I am going to be chopping wood and starting the construction of a small cabin today. So plenty to keep me busy.

Lot's of wild berries around and there are wild hazel nuts in abundance. I am going to plant some seeds for vegetables later today.

Weather. Currently sunny and pleasantly warm but rain is forecast for the evening and night.

The lake near me is certainly not over fished. There is no one here only me. It is a good few hours hike to here.

That's not realistic in a cold climate if you want to get off the grid especially.

i was talking about the world. maybe that would solve some environmental problems and world hunger. or maybe it would create some environmental problems and solve world hunger. 13.gif

I don't think we are doomed, there are solutions, but the POO is just one big fekked up inbred family without nations or morals don't have any representatives for alternatives. We as individuals have to take that responsibility and act accordingly. Your wallet means a lot to them, choose wisely.

Going vegetarian a couple of times a week would probably make a difference, but going off fast food altogether would make an even bigger impact I believe. For your own as well as global health.

Well I had fish for dinner. yay.gif

I caught 3 nice size bream. Watched a number of carp jumping so may get lucky there soon.

I have been busy planting vegetables. Cabbage, Radishes, Turnips, Mung beans, Potatoes, Tomatoes.

Also I have seen a few deer around and have set some traps. Venison drool.gif

It is a beautiful warm sunny day today.

I may go swimming.
