Say what!!! . were's the proof? So all the riots in various European countries are not related back to the forming of the ğkking European Union.

How's your Friday NODOOM? I'm baking stuff while having some nice brew. beercheer.gif My parents and daughter are coming over for coffee tomorrow and I want to offer them some nice treats. This is quite the challenge since we're on a sugar / grain free diet. yay.gif

They did say that the choice was a surprise, but they made that decision taking into account the Union's past 60 years of efforts. I also think they just couldn't find anyone else at this point in time. sad2.gif

This choice of the prize seems to address only the advancement of peace, not economic factors, from what I can determine.

Quote:

The 27-nation organization was awarded the prizing for its historic role in "uniting the continent" and its contributions "to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe''
