Just like we hardly ever hear of the Russian holocaust during world war two...

When the Nazis murdered around 30,000,000 Russians...

We also hardly ever hear of the Chinese holocaust that happened before and during world war two...

When the Japanese murdered around 10,000,000 Chinese people...

Where are their holocaust museums within the United States?

There are none!

The squeaky wheel gets the oil...

And even though we are all apes with pants,,,

at least we have learned not to keep testing them,,,

and doing upper air tests,,,and ocean testing,,,

and even underground testing,,,so at least with time,,,

us apes have progressed a little bit,,,about the

dangers,,,hey,,,they didn't even know if it would

cause a chain reaction,,,and they still lit it off,,,

how dumb was that???...

not very big,,,but there is at least one,,,google is your friend,,,

The Chinese Holocaust Museum of San Francisco celebrated its second anniversary in the Sunset District earlier this year. Founded by history professor Tien-wei Wu in 2000 and opened in temporary quarters in Oakland, the museum moved to its current San Francisco home in January of 2003.

This "forgotten holocaust" got global front-page coverage in 1997 when Basic Books published "The Rape of Nanking," by Iris Chang, a Bay Area writer who died tragically last year. Chang's book is recommended as a good place to start for those who are interested in the exhibit.

Thanx I never even heard of that place ever mentioned anywhere...

I read that its a non profit privately funded museum, what ever that really means?

I wonder if any of our remaining cold war paranoia and our being trained to demonize russians for so long mind set is still preventing any russian holocaust museums from being built in the united states?

whoops,,,got beat,,,well there had to be at least one...

besides,,,it never happened...

While there has been a lot of soul-searching in Japan about the war, most Chinese people see a Japanese government that is uncomfortably less willing than Germany to remember its crimes against humanity, or to remind its citizens of the militarism that led to them.

This perception shapes Chinese attitudes about the current crisis, which escalated dramatically when Tokyo governor Shintaro Ishihara claimed he would attempt to buy the disputed islands. Ishihara, a Japanese nationalist, denies the Chinese holocaust. He is not alone. The magnitude and brutality of the war crimes committed by Japan in Nanjing were not fully articulated in Japanese textbooks until 1997, and are still hotly debated.
