I did google it... and saw nothing about it crashing after dec 3rd

Can't even check your links... which are worthless if they don't work.

...you people have unrealistic expectations. Yes... they should have and could have made it better before it went live but hey... it is what it is and they are actively ironing out every little wrinkle as they pop up. The site is no longer "plagued" with problems. All we are seeing now is a few isolated instances and this new issue with erroneous medicaid qualifications... again, this is not necessarily something they could have predicted would happen. It all seems like it should be something simple in the sheeple's mind... but reality is much more complex and constantly throws you curve balls.

...AND THIS IS NOT A CRASH!
İmage

That is the queue system they put in place to prevent it from overloading... this popping up is an indication that a large number of people are using the site. One might even use the word "droves" as this is means over 50k are on and more are trying to get on.

A new report by The Commonwealth Fund says enrollment in Obamacare’s insurance exchanges has reached at least a half million people,

...so we are up to almost 1.35mil including medicaid expansion enrollees ...5mil more would qualify in red states that refused to expand medicaid that would have raised that number significantly higher.

CMS releases enrollment numbers the next month,,,

everytime someone asks them how many have signed up,,,

that is what they say,,,not sure who The Commonwealth Fund is...

google,,,The Commonwealth Fund is a private foundation working toward a high

performance health system,,,so,,,private foundation,,,they are making

up pretend numbers
,,,but even if right,,,4 million had policies canceled,,,

so,,,millions in Jan who don't have insurance,,,who did have policies,,,

so going to be interesting,,,especially all the folks who get hurt by this,,,

and just cause the king said retroactive coverage,,,doesn't mean doctors

or anyone is going to accept these people...

(:X

REALLY?

So i guess all these are made up numbers too?

So all those private plans are Obamacare???,,,

is that what you are trying to show???,,,

still looks like a lot of Medicaid,,,and Medicaid existed

before Obamacare,,,and people were always signing

up for it,,,so now what???,,,there are many more,,,

and that is something to be proud of???,,,how many for

the bronze silver and gold plans???,,,anyway,,,no matter

how you slice it,,,the numbers are less than 20 percent

of the canceled plans,,,so,,,guess we will see,,,which is

really what we should be talking about...

getting bored,,,and wasn't going to load em,,,if they link to each

other,,,sorry,,,still,,,site went down,,,before his majesty's speech,,,

and if they want to get people signed up,,,should handle more

than 50k at a time,,,google,,,facebook,,,etc.,,,handle millions

at a time,,,so should probably have more than one laptop

handling all this,,,really,,,how fast can 50 thousand type in info???...

Medicaid enrollment counts... many are newly qualified because of the medicaid expansion(we've already been over this) and even more are now signing up because it is required... you seem to be forgetting the whole purpose behind the ACA ...which is to get EVERYONE INSURED!

Here is where the federally run marketplace December numbers come from...
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/09...81265.html

Oh, and I stand corrected. The system was down for maintenance... something all systems involving large server banks do at least weekly ...or even more frequently if under a heavy load.(any MMORPG gamer knows this) Think of it like having your hard drive defragmented.

İmage
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-12-20...shes-again

This is also not a crash... this is done to prevent crashes and squash bugs that arise when integrated systems go out of sync from high usage.

The list of links I showed is where the dec enrollment numbers(thus far) come from where states run their own marketplace exchanges... and for states that did not set up their own marketplace websites ...the federally run healthcare.org does it for them. We get those current enrollment numbers from the president's recent address.

None of those numbers are made up as you so boldy claimed.

...see. Typically when we see numbers the republicans throw around and we trace them back we find deceptive bullshit or even flat out lies. None of that going on here. Just the facts.

I have a whole thread about my experience on http://www.healthcare.gov. I used it, it worked, I got insurance. I used it during prime time, not late a night. The questions were easy and the kinds of things you would expect. income, address, names, SS numbers, do you smoke?, are you disabled and can't work?, that about it.

Today I saw an old friend I haven't seen in months. She said she was going skip insurance because she thought the web site didn't work. I assured her that it did, I told her my experience. She decided to go home and do it. People die because they don't have insurance.

This doesn't mean that I agree with anything else "not sure" has to say.

Well,,,right now there are a few million people less,,,

who had insurance,,,and no longer do,,,subpar plans

no doubt,,,but better than nothing,,,and many people

would be signing up for Medicaid anyway,,,with or without

Obamacare,,,so yeah,,,including those numbers distorts

the success or failure of the ACA program,,,in my opinion,,,

and especially since those numbers are large in comparison

to the bronze silver and gold plans,,,do you have any seperate

numbers on that,,,and even if the screen says whatever,,,

and can say whatever,,,down is down,,,at a time when people

need to be signing up for something,,,to have anything in Jan.,,,

and millions will have nothing in Jan.,,,and probably Feb.,,,

but we will see...

Hi Wayne5,

Glad things went well for you,,,and it is so cheap,,,keep us informed,,,

like when it becomes effective,,,and if you are happy with the doctors

that are in your network,,,and if it works out of state,,,etc.,,,so

which did you get???,,,bronze silver gold,,,what is the deductable???,,,etc.

maybe cut and paste off the healthcare.gov site for us here,,,don't want

to wade through that over there,,,and sure don't want to burn up all the

bandwidth of the site looking for it...

Well since everytime someone was asked how many people were enrolled,,,

in Obamacare,,,they stated the numbers don't come out till next month,,,

so I can only assume the numbers for Dec are made up,,,

Why are you guys still arguing?? Obviously AK has something to gain by trying to make it look great when it doesn't.

I know of nobody besides Wayne that signed up and I dont know if he really signed up.

You can post 1000 links with numbers from the .gov that hasn't given anyone any reason to believe them about anything. Of course they will lie to make it look good I believe nothing that they say.

BS people dont die because they dont have insurance. People that dont have insurance die because we dont have cures for cancer or their kidneys fail but not because they dont have insurance.

If I go to the hospital right now they will see without any insurance and then refer me to a doctor that will see me for followup care.

Well Softy, my plan is bronze, it is a lot worse than what I had. It is major medical, nothing more. $5k deductible, 80/20, HMO. I had $3k 80/20 PPO, but I payed more. I will keep you up to date on how it goes. I hope it works, I fear it will not. I don't like doctors. I hope I stay healthy and never need the insurance.
