Its true. The British own almost that much and so do the Japanese. The largest owner of US debt is now and always has been the American people.

By the way have you ever heard of Ceres? chuckle.gif

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppa...s-one-year then why have the others lost half their viewing audience

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlike at CNN and MSNBC, Fox’s prime-time ratings dipped slightly in 2011, by a median of 3% to 1.9 million (it was down during the daytime, too, by 2% to 1.1 million viewers). Yet the Fox News formula of conservative-leaning talk and opinion in prime time still resulted in the channel boasting more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined.

Much of the success of that vision can be attributed to Fox News chief Roger Ailes. But perhaps some of the slight ratings decline can be attributed to Ailes’s attempts to rein in the tone at the channel, a move that helped push the highly successful 5 p.m. host, Glenn Beck, out the door. The loss of Beck’s strong lead-in to the prime-time hours may have had the cascading effect of negatively impacting the programs that followed it.

http://stateofthemedia.org/2012/cable-cn...lls-again/

If you read the whole article from the Pew Research Center with data from Nielsen instead of opinion from a right wing blog you would be better informed.

FOX is soaked with opinion and their news is crafted to prove the opinion.

Sometimes, but I do a lot of checking.

FOX is consistently and deliberately misrepresenting the facts. The other main stream media are much more subtle. They bend the truth without forging the basic data. They have to. Their audience has a much higher IQ than FOX.

The price for making too many mistakes is a lower market share. FOX is telling their market what they want to hear. Accuracy just gets in the way.

CBS is...ummm...."truth challenged" - how about Dan Rather and the "Bush National Guard papers" that were a total fabrication? How about CBS and there "eye witness" to Benghazi...who now have two people from CBS on "leave"/suspension.

Sorry family stuff.

First your link wont work. Second I didn't question the numbers. You asked "why" is FNC doing better than.... I was answering your question. There are more things involved than accuracy in market share. The article I posted explained the Fox strategy of opinion programming (entertainment) and less news. The British proved that if you put naked women in your news paper they will sell.

Your numbers say that ALL of them are loosing market share including FOX!

FNC: 1,201,000 total viewers – down 18%

The real question is "Why is there a trend away from major news organizations and
where are they going."

Lastly, It was an assumption on my part that Lisa got her information from FOX. I have to admit that I have a true bias against FOX and any time I see bad information I instantly think of them. I APOLOGIZE. (NOT YELLING JUST WANT THIS TO BE SEEN).

If you read ALL my post you will find that earlier I call her "a good person" so it isn't any thing personal.

Jb I didn't mean to bring your blood pressure up, your a major poster on this board and you put up interesting and timely articles. I won't always agree with you but I will not disrespect you by acting like I agree when I don't. And if I go over some line then I will except your correction.

All of the MSM outlets are corporate owned and they all lie I was just pointing out that this idea people have that FOX is the only one being dishonest is nonsense.

There are no journalist anymore and if you want the closest thing to honest use twitter but you have to take screenshots because articles seem to disappear if someone in a high place doesn't like the article.

Good examples! Both of these people paid a high price for what they did. This doesn't prove that CBS is "truth challenged", it proves that CBS isn't going to put up with this kind of reporting.
