I watched part of that cartoon video

It emphasized relativity. And Star Trek.

So 1000 mph is relative to infinity

Whatever.

How lazy can you get? A freemason fantasy video.

Logic and common sense must yield to pseudoscience dogma.
I think not.

The Professor counterpoints...don't demonize, try to open your minds.

Observation instead of science? The Earth still appears round, doesn't it?

Thanks, US. I am trying to open minds.
I just wish my device would not reboot out of the blue when I am trying to reply.

Your videos were too long. I don't even watch Globebusters videos for that reason. Many are two hours long.

If a flatearther won't watch flat earth videos, then who will?

In my opinion, text and pictures are more effective. And more memorable.
GIFs are even better.

This one, for example, shows that ships do not disappear from the bottom up  because they go "over the curve" on a spinning globe.

This is a foolish notion, since the ship shrinks in size because of distance and laws of perspective. Human vision is limited to about 3 miles, at which point all lines of convergence meet at the vanishing point. When we use binoculars or other magnification, the vanishing point extends further.

Zoom lenses disprove the globe. yep

uhm, what I see is exactly the ship disappearing from the bottom up
or are you trying to tell us the bottom shrinks faster than the top?

What is closest to the vanishing point is what disappears first.
Which is why zoom lenses extend our range of vision.

That is a perfect example of a ship disappearing over the horizon !
Now Drama Queen, what happens when you look at it through Binoculars? You wont be silly enough to say it simply reappears will you ?

But, but, we haven't been to space, did you forget about your "Dome" preventing us ?

Then proceeds to use a NASA photo to prove her point !   rofl.gif

Thanks for the bump. Your information is, however, erroneous.

The photo is from a V2 rocket in 1946.
Nasa began in 1958, when Nazi scientists were imported in Project Paperclip.

The dome is guesstimated to be 62 to 200 miles in altitude. Its shape, unknown.
We never see rockets going up very far. Heavy rockets, maybe 30 miles - 40 miles.
Light (sounding) rockets go higher. Then they stop, as if they hit a dense layer of noble gases.

Nasa uses other words for the dome: ionosphere, Van Allen belts, Karman line.
I also like Elves' Disk.

The top of the Golden Gate Bridge is almost two inches wider at the top than the base because of the curvature of the Earth!
