what's the difference between open and closed cockpit?
open means you bump into the non-speeding air around your plane
that's what you feel, not your own constant speed, silly
this is physics, not English literature

Curvature and more curvature.

Space tourism has begun...

Quote:Dennis Tito visited the ISS for seven days in April–May 2001, becoming the world's first "fee-paying" space tourist. Tito paid a reported $20 million for his trip. Tito was followed in April 2002 by South African Mark Shuttleworth (Soyuz TM-34).

Quote:And then looking to my right, out of the window, I could see the blackness of space, I could see Earth, and the curvature of Earth, and the sight of Earth from space was just spectacular.

I cannot ever duplicate that euphoric feeling that I had at that moment. IDennis Tito)

Unfortunately, flat earthers do no debate, they just argue and say your photos are fake while posting ridiculous YouTube videos.

Waste of time buddy.

You want debate? How about this, below?
The ISS is claimed to orbit earth around 250 miles, yet the views are exactly the same as seen from a jet plane flying 5 to 10 miles up. I think I can see my house in the one picture.

The  space station also travels 17,000 mph. Somehow, it defies laws of physics which requires something to thrust against. Either a solid launchpad or heavy atmosphere. But thar she blows, Captain Kirk, making course corrections and accelerating in a total vacuum.

So, debate was offered. You may ignore, refute, or slander. Which, hmm? dunno.gif

Bumped into the non-speeding air around your plane? Really hahaha, I thought the Earth was spinning a thousand miles an hour at the equator, what if the plane was going against the spin of the Earth, maybe it would never get to its destination? Your arguments make no sense.

You are seriously dumb ! You think the ISS is under constant thrust to keep it at that speed ?

It is called ORBIT you IDJIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As usual, Nasa shills and fanboys keep us entertained with their great enthusiasm for confusion.

Like the ISS. The space station.
It just showed up. dunno.gif
No astro-nots had cameras to take selfies when they put the thingamajig together.

They lived in a tiny spaceship?? I guess, while they were constructing that marvel which floats above earth. Its solar panels provide a power source that gets the thing to maneuver at 17,000 mph. As the Anon Kritter says, I am unable to grasp the mechanics of how a vehicle can generate thrust to attain altitude and speed. In a total vacuum???

Its amazing construction is so advanced than the pressurized cabins withstand the surrounding vacuum which on earth would cause a heavy metal tank to implode.

Here is its track, or so they say.

By the way, it's Halloween. Here is a picture that Nasa took of the sun in 2014.

Your ideology was born from religion like most cults, and you know it because you are too afraid to admit it based on your thread title, or lack of.

So Grav, you no longer put the words 'flat earth' in your thread titles? Why is that? Afraid to get ridiculed as you should be?

Within the next ten years space tourism will be a common fact.

Maybe you and your ignorant colleagues can take the trip and see for yourselves and put an end to the cancer you so desperately try to spread online?

Get a life for fuck sakes.

I believe the multiple eye witnesses who have actually viewed Earth from space and who all describe the Earth as being round and not only that, they took their own personal pictures.

I am an atheist. Or anti-theist.
I think there is a rational explanation for everything.

Religions are belief systems.

Science has abandoned the scientific method and relies on human indoctrination to BELIEVE their idiotic theories.

Human beings are gullible fools. Many who know the Truth collude to destroy it.

This video suggests
-  that Operation Fishbowl tested the dome.
- that Admiral Byrd put himself in danger for saying on tv that there were lands to be explored beyond the poles.
- that Nasa's true mission is to hide those lands by making us think that the only way out is by going to Mars and Star Trek fantasy worlds.

This is why flat earth must be suppressed by all means necessary. A military fleet strictly forbids unauthorized travel below 60° S (Antarctica).

Shills are assigned to squelch any presentation of fe discussion.
The sheeple are brainwashed to hate and fight the very idea that that they don't live on a wet spinning ball in a vacuum. It is totally illogical, but  cognitive dissonance is a powerful mind control mechanism.

This azimuthal_equidistant map is the best image we have of our world. The white rim is Antarctica.
Off-limits or else! A few cruise ships take rich tourists to see a couple of approved locations. Very restricted, of course.

if this was the real shape of earth the distance from America's east coast to the west coast would be almost 2.5 times the distance between north and south border
is that true?

I'd like to know why we have to wait until 2025 to go back to the Moon? Just think about all the money we give Israel, China, and India. Those three countries have mastered the moon trip landed and came back with pictures. Seems like with all the money we give those countries annually they would be happy to loan us a rocket or the technology to go on up to the Moon again, if India can pull it off it should be a pretty simple task I would think. Matter of fact if those three countries pulled it off so flawlessly space tourism should be no problem. So sign me up.

I think it would be interesting for this thread to review the stunning lunar photography provided to us by Israel, China, and India. thanks

Now now Grav, don't be an hypocrite, there are smart scientific educated people, and then you have cult following people who think the Earth is flat.

I have flown hundreds of times all over the world, been far up and down both hemispheres, crossed the International time zone countless times and have seen this with my own eyes, yes the earth is a globe, just like the sun, the moon and all the planets and its own moons in the solar system.

Now if you can,t understand this basic 5th grade knowledge of the the universe, you are either religious, uneducated or live in a trailer park and have missing teeth.

I watched a few episodes of Game of Thrones. Too mean. Too bloody. What up with that ice wall?

[Image: uploads%252Fcard%252Fimage%252F679949%25...zonaws.com]

Why would anyone want to go there? Not me. I went to Alcatraz once, the prison on the island in San Francisco. At least it was warmer there. I hear it's a terrible mess now.
But that's an another agenda. Or is it our future?  :doomed1:
