Yesterday, someone whom I am very interested in called me to come visit her at work. Before I stopped by, I went to Safeway to buy some gum. (Keep in mind I am always consciously looking for a way to help others or spread a little love). I was looking all day long yesterday for the right moment.
Anyway, as I was walking out of Safeway, I saw a homeless man with two shopping carts full of his personal belongings. He was sitting on the curb in the parking lot. Minding his own business and NOT bothering anyone or even begging. Just sitting.
I reached in my wallet and pulled out the last $3.00 to my name immediately and gave it to him and told him to go next door to MacDonalds and get himself a burger. he claimed he didn't like MacDonalds (I don't blame him). He said he wanted a Wiener Schnitzel. I told him he could have whatever he liked. Then I got in my truck and went to visit Mary.
This morning, the very moment I crawled out of bed, I got a call from a customer who I did a bid for window cleaning the other day. She scheduled me and wants other work done as well. Minimum of $200.00 for just the windows.
So, you see? you give.... you get. As long as it isn't done selfishly, you WILL be rewarded.
I really needed that job. I got it.
