The Garden Of Earthly Delights...

This phantasmagorical head trip was created from the mind of Hieronymus Bosch and completed in the year 1500...

Meaning this awesome three paneled triptych painting was accomplished well over five hundred years ago...

To my eyes and mind its easily the most fantastically surrealistic painting ever made by anyone...

Theres literally hundreds of bizzare objects and mysterious scenarios being played out across its color drenched panoramic canvas...

The various nightmarishly strange creatures and the numerous alien plant life are otherworldly and beautifully weird...

When you gaze upon all of its astounding details and really think about what your seeing...

There seems to be hauntingly ominous feelings emanating out to us from across its dreaming surface...

Whats it really about? whats it really showing us? whats it really saying? whats really going on?

Fascinating. I recognize a few from legends I've read of Native Indians.

I dont like to paint...

But i love to draw using various combinations of regular pencils and colored pencils and colored pens...

Many of my drawings have taken me several months to complete...

Some of them are still incomplete...

But i've saved most everyone of them since i started drawing about twenty five years ago and theres around two hundred of them...

I remember when I was around twelve years old my mother had an oversized art book with this Garden Of Earthly Delights painting in it and I was so fascinated by it then and I still am now and I use to like looking at it for hours at a time and I still do...

Amazingly this astoundingly beautiful warped and twisted painting contains so much and theres so many different things going on all over the place I see something new every time I look at it...

Thanks for posting this! I've been fascinated with his paintings since I was a kid. There's so much going on in each of them and they're so fantastical.

Definitely saving this link.

Your welcome and knowing how this unique masterpiece makes us feel and what the various other worldly images conjure within our modern minds, just imagine how shocking and surreal it must have seemed and made people feel over five hundred years ago...

The Indianapolis Museum of Art had that in their collection. I remember being doobie.gif stoned.gif and checking that out. I began to LOL, there was a demon with a runny nose that I found hilarious.
The people in the room gave me a WTF is wrong with you. I sad to them "the best art forces an emotional response" they didn't know how to respond chuckle.gif

Some of the many strange and bizarre close up views from The Garden Of Earthly Delights >

What the f##k is it?!

İmage

A supposedly religious painting?

With a pig dressed up like a nun molesting a human in hell!

I wonder what the words say on this piece of paper?

İmage

Can words even describe this?!

Yes, some images are quite bizarre when viewed up close. I wonder if the artist suffered from lead poising, or some other mental defect, from his paint. You know that they did not know the ingredients they used to make paint were extremely toxic.
