Rush Drummer Neil Peart Says He's Retired

He's getting old and has chronic tendonitis. No need to say more.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

*sigh* bored.gif So sad to hear it. One of the greatest drummers and lyricists ever. I really don't see Rush going on without him as he was an integral part of that machine.

He just needs to do physiotherapy to target the problem areas. But it does take a desire. Perhaps his inspiration has died?

Maybe, but creative people seem to die inside without that certain something... inspiration, passion?

it is just a matter of getting back the desire to reconnect

so yeah it is the desire to, that gets missing sometimes.

cause it is like well what am i doing it for anyhow..

i think we want to share it. thats why. then when there is no one else to share it with., then it doesnt get.. well the give and take.
like with an audience.
that is one of the best highs ever.

Now, I'll go be part of the audience at the local club.

in an hour or so.

Ain't heard my old buddy Uncle B play since July.

A pleasant evening to you all, Kritters! wave.gif

It wouldn't be the first time he lost his heart for playing. In 1997 he lost his (then) only child in a car crash and then his wife died 10 months later. He was understandably in a bad place after that.
