Same for tweets, post a link and they show.
The picture button in the post box/editor will bring up a window where you put the link to the pic and it shows.
Only https:// pics and videos work at this point, we changed to ssl encryption to bolster security, and I expect most sites to follow suit in the next few months.
I copy and paste the URL to the 'Insert video' and then check preview and only the link shows up.
I have posted some videos and GIFS in the past without any issues.
So in old hippy talk, you are saying go to 'insert image' and take it from there?

Go to YouTube post the address in the top bar of the video here and it shows up automatically.
No buttons or code needed!
If you want to use the buttons and code you can, videos are the camera icon.
Images are only thing that need the code button.
Try it out, use the preview thread button to see if it worked.
Or make an experimental thread and try everything out until you get it.
Hands on is the easiest way to learn.
