interesting take, awesome to see how they like to try to clamp down on your balls anyway they can come up with. Wait til they start WW3 to pump up and get many peoples social security savings that were never received because they were dead. Just waiting to see how they play their cards which as you can see...
No reason to harass a cop , as long as I'm not getting harassed back! If it's doesn't go both ways , then we got a big problem!! Plain and simple!

This it?

Quote:According to WIVB, legislators in the Empire State (fitting nickname) seek to make a crime to “annoy” a cop. The imaginative title of the bill: “An act to amend the penal law, in relation to aggravated harassment of peace officers or police officers.”

What if that person who is deemed to be annoying or harassing a cop is mentally disturbed? No, we won't train cops in how to handle those types of confrontations.

It should work both ways. Most cops annoy me with bad career choice and low intellect - so imprison them.

Seems like it'd be open ended as to interpretation. What defines 'harrassment'? I guess the cop decides.

That's pretty subjective. They are painting new laws with a very broad brush 13.gif

They would be wise to ask the Las Vegas cops how to deal with drunks, the mentally ill, etc. The LV cops, from what I have witnessed on TV, handle each and every case with what I feel is not a 'strong-armed' approach. They first will try to get offensive people off the streets and back to their hotel rooms or homes...not to be carted off to jail as the first option, and they just seem to get to the heart of the matter and take control, rather than engaging the person on their level (drunk, mentally ill?) at the time.

Sounds like they're getting ready for mass protests.

It can be hard to hold all the 'peaceful' demonstrators they round up for more than a few hours so this will give then the excuse to warehouse any budding MLKs and keep them out of 'trouble'.
