What if the Cold War Went Nuclear?
(IMHO, if we actually went complete nuclear things would likely be much, much worse than what the video suggest but that is really not either here nor there)
and it talks about an incident in the 1980s where a Russian radar station (or some sort of other listening post) had multiple glitches and detected what it thought was nukes from the US. Although I'm sure that even if the guy who the video says kept a cool head and prevented a launch wasn't there it is likely someone else in the chin of command would have more likely done something to also prevent an all out nuclear war. I know that the Cuban missile crisis could have also gone nuclear, since the nukes there DIDN'T HAVE ALL SAFETY MEASURES AT ALL TO PREVENT THEM BEING FIRED at the time we where considering invading and all an operator it would take is one operator at a launch site to decide he would rather fire a nuke than let the site fall into US hands.
So my question is other than the Cuban missile crisis and the incident in Russia in the 1980s, what other times did we almost start a nuclear war?
