We have a truly wonderful snowy winter! yay.gif  It's like it was back when I was a kid woohoo.gif

Of course most adults think it's plenty already, but we keep getting more. It's cold too! Today at work I got outside at 10 am in -10C temp, that's 14 (without windchill, and it was windy af). I'm like wtf is it raining?? JR messaged me later about it raining which is outrageous because it's fkn freezing! damned.gif

Just saw this:

Sahara sand lands in Finland
The phenomenon was seen in southern as well as western parts of the country.

The sand, stirred up by sandstorms in the sub-Saharan desert region, was brought to the Nordic country in air currents in the upper atmosphere, according to on-duty meteorologist Anniina Valtonen from the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
"Sand from the Sahara has spread to a small part of Finland, mainly in the south," she said, noting that the phenomenon was very localised and will only be visible in a few areas.
The meteorologist said that individual sand crystals are nestled at the centre of water droplets that can cause "sandy rain" elsewhere after being carried by currents high in the atmosphere.
"Usually, the sand causes sunrises and sunsets to appear more colourful than usual," Valtonen said.
The sand can sometimes have a negative effect on local air quality, but due to Tuesday's precipitation, such effects are likely to be minor, she explained.

To be honest, I find this quite interesting, Sahara sand in Finland?

There was time not too long ago where Sahara sand made its way to Eastern US.

Been there riding on a camel, luckily no dust storm.

It was so surreal... I thought it was raining day before yesterday, but no drops were forming/beading  on my waterproof coat, but I could hear it fall like rain. damned.gif

Doesn't sound very healthy, another reason to wear a mask I guess?

Here in South East Asia there is a time of year when all the farmers burn there old crops and create horrible air pollution.

I could never survive a winter, it was 37 degrees Celsius in my room yesterday, and I don't even use the air con, small floor fan is good enough for me.
