I woke up this morning and the word dichotomy flashed in my head for whatever reason.
Reading that kinda' blew me away.

Perhaps probable but not inevitable. Has failed previously but then up against an equally acceptable candidate. Now, it seems, you have two diverse but powerful ones who have controlled much of the narrative.
